Meet the Team Behind the Operation
In 2019, Theresa and her husband, Richard Katusak, moved to the Katusak family ranch in Burnet, Texas. After raising three daughters, Theresa returned to school to pursue her longtime dream of establishing a Texas vineyard. In 2021, she earned her viticulture certification from Texas Tech University and began partnering with local wineries to grow a variety of grapes. During the vineyard’s off-season, Theresa discovered a passion for flowers and envisioned new life for an old horse barn on the property—planting the seeds for her next chapter.

Richard Katusak grew up in central Texas, where his teenage years were shaped by hard work on Echo Valley Ranch, the family-owned property he helped run. Those early days sparked a lifelong talent for land management and an appreciation for the land itself. After more than 30 years of successin various corporate roles, Richard closed that chapter and stepped into an exciting new adventure, retiring and joining his wife to build and curate Tamega Flower Farm and Tamega Vineyard.
